Lori DiCesare, President and CEO
Lori DiCesare is the founder and President of Legal Placements, Inc. (LPI). Founded 1996, LPI leads the way in staffing the needs of law firms placing contract attorneys, paralegals, legal secretaries. LPI also specializes in IT professionals, technical and non-legal companies--this covers temporary, permanent and temporary to permanent placements.
Under Ms. DiCesare's leadership, she is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of LPI, which grew from a $5,000 investment to a multi-million dollar company. With 45 employees strong, and offices located in Washington, D.C., New York, and Northern Virginia, her staff has placed thousands of contractors, and built a client base of hundreds of law firms and companies. LPI is the largest independent owned staffing agency in the Washington, D.C.
Ms. DiCesare has nearly two decades of legal and staffing experience. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and a Masters Degree. Named by the Washington Business Journal, the prestigious "A Woman to Watch--One of the 50 Most Influential and Powerful Women Executives" in 2003, and one of the "Top 25 Woman Owned Businesses" in the Washington, D.C. area in 2002 and 2004, she serves as a visible force in the business and philanthropic community. In 2004, LPI was featured in the Washington, D.C.'s, The Conscience of America, published by the Heritage Media Corporation, as a company who has contributed to the city from 2003-2006, LPI was ranked by the Washington Business Journal as one of the top 25 temporary staffing agencies in the Washington, D.C. area for the last five years.
Her reach into the community extends on a local and national level. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Northern Virginia Community Foundation and Gilda's Club of Greater Washington, a non-profit organization helping those touched by cancer. She has been a Diamond and Platinum sponsor for The Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) for the last seven years, and supported such charities as Suited for Change, September 11th Children's Fund, National Breast Cancer Coalition, Graham Road Elementary School Backpack and Supply Drive, "Lawyers Have Heart" in 2005 and 2006 to name a few. In 2006 Lori was featured on WJLA-ABC's "Working Woman" with Kathleen Matthews for her philanthropic contributions to the community. In 2007 she was honored by CEO magazine for the, “Bravo”, Women Business Achievement Award.
